From abroad
From the direction of Vienna and Sopron: By exiting motorway A1, on motorway A3 leading towards Eisenstadt, motorists get to the border crossing point in Sopron. From here, take main road no. 84 through Sümeg to Balatonederics. You can reach Hévíz by turning to the west, to main road no. 71 through Keszthely.

From the direction of Slovenia, Lendava/Lenti you can approach the town best on main road no. 75, while from Croatia on main road E71.

Travelling by air: 13 km away from Hévíz, the 'Fly Balaton' Airport of Sármellék receives scheduled flights and charter lines, as well as private planes. Hotels organizing travels and travel agencies take good care of the reception of the guests and their transfers to Hévíz. Those arriving at the Budapest-Ferihegy Airport can directly reach the town of Hévíz with the help of the regular coach service.

From inland

From the direction of Budapest: You cannot really miss the way from motorway M7, as far as Balatonkeresztúr, than through Keszthely.

From the direction of Pécs: Take main road no.66 to Kaposvár - no.67 to Fonyód - driving along the southern shore of Lake Balaton, than through Keszthely.

From the direction of Szeged: Take main road no. 5 to Bátaszék - through Bonyhád and Dombóvár - than main road no.61 to Böhönye than through Marcali and Keszthely.

Travelling by train: Hévíz does not have any direct railway communication. Passengers can get to the town by coach from the two closest railway stations in Keszthely and Balatonszentgyörgy.
